Last year I planted a crop of sunflowers, but only one of the seeds escaped the attentions of the squirrels and made it to grow into a sunflower. This year I've got a bumper crop!
A dozen small plants - I was going to plant them out today but I figured I'd give them a few more days to get established.

Even better we managed to salvage some seeds from Stan the Sunflower last year - and one of them has sprouted too. Next generation!
